Pre-Engineered Steel Livestock Shelter in Holloway, Minnesota
Metal Building Outlet sourced this durable, spacious steel agricultural building for a farm owner in Holloway, Minnesota, sending the pre-engineered metal building kit to the farm in January 2025.
Designed to house livestock and keep cattle safe and protected from the elements, extreme heat or cold, predators and other hazards, the metal farm building has 10,000 square feet of flexible interior space, offering plenty of room for animals, feed and farm supplies.
Comprised of rugged, long-lasting steel parts and engineered for heavy winter snowfall and the eventual addition of an Energy Saver insulation package, the building will eventually feature a high R-value insulation system, with an R-51 multi-layer system in the roof and another R-38 multilayer system in the walls. Holding the systems in place are InsulHold coils, steel banding and screws.
In addition to the fiberglass insulation lining the roof and walls, the steel farm building also features thermal blocks, which reduce the transfer of heat through the building envelope. Low-maintenance, comfortable and multifunctional, the steel agricultural building gives the owner a safe and secure place to house livestock year-round while streamlining farm operations and protecting valuable livestock and equipment.
