Prefabricated Steel Farm Building in Kaufman, Texas

Metal Building Outlet sent the building kit for this prefabricated steel agricultural building to Kaufman, Texas, in January 2024.

Comprised of one primary metal farm building and two steel lean-tos flanking either side, the structure offers nearly 7,000 square feet of covered interior space the owner can use to store hay, feed, livestock, farm equipment or other goods needed for agricultural operations. Custom-designed to meet the owner’s needs, the spacious and sturdy steel farm building has 39 windows in a variety of sizes that let plenty of natural sunlight inside and gable and eave extensions in various lengths that provide reliable protection for the agricultural building’s outside walls.

A painted exterior and 4’ of wainscoting surrounding all four walls gives the metal farm building nice curb appeal, while a sheeted partition wall divides the interior into separate areas the owner can use as desired. A portion of the walls also remain open in some areas, allowing for optimal ventilation and easy access to the animals, supplies or equipment stored inside.

Another noteworthy customization is a liner panel in the steel building’s roof, which boosts durability, improves moisture control and gives the inside of the structure a clean, complete look and feel. Metal Building Outlet also sent a Texas engineer-stamped foundation plan to the jobsite along with the pre-engineered metal building kit to simplify the process of laying the foundation and give the large structure a strong, stable base.
