Commercial Building in Crested Butte, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pair of pre-engineered metal buildings in Crested Butte, Colorado, in March of 2022.

Now functioning as shop buildings, the durable, easy-to-raise metal buildings are comprised of high-quality steel parts, with the first standing 70’x85’x24’/38’7” in size and the second metal building standing 50’x85’x22’/31’6”. Both buildings have hardwearing single-slope roofs offering overhead protection, although the first building’s roof has a 2.5:12 pitch, while the second structure’s roof boasts a 2.25:12 roof pitch. Both shops also feature 24-gauge standing-seam roofs, rather than 26-gauge screw-down roofs.

Distributed between the (2) steel buildings are (35) framed door and window openings in a variety of sizes. Included are (1) 16’x16’ overhead door opening, (1) 10’x8’ overhead door opening, (8) 16’x18’ overhead door openings and (3) 3’x7’ walk door openings. Also featured are (4) 7’x2’ window openings, (13) 5’x5’ window openings, (1) 3’x5’ window opening, (1) 12’6”x10’ opening and (3) 12’6”x6’ openings.

Both steel shops also feature 115-mph wind speed ratings and hefty 110-psf roof snow loads in accordance with local building and engineering codes.
