Insulated Steel Building in Rigby, Idaho

Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered metal building in Rigby, Idaho, in late September of 2016.

Hardwearing, energy efficient and low maintenance by design, the building is crafted from top-of-the-line steel components and stands 40’x40’x12’ in size. Now used as a shop, the structure is covered and protected from above by a light stone-colored metal roof with a 3:12 pitch. Inside it are a total of (5) framed openings, which include (1) 18’x10’ opening, (2) 3070 openings and (2) 4030 windows.

To dramatically reduce energy bills associated with the shop building, R-19 insulation is installed in both the roof and walls. The insulation also enhances sound control and interior comfort for building users, regardless of time of year or outside climate. A high snow load of 50 lbs. and a wind speed rating of 115 mph serve as additional features, and were included in consideration of the weather patterns and sometimes heavy seasonal snowfall experienced in the region. A small city set within eastern Idaho’s Jefferson County, Rigby is situated about 15 miles outside Idaho Falls and 13 miles from Rexburg.

Durable, economical and inherently low maintenance, the metal arena requires little more than an occasional power wash to maintain its exterior appeal, and it is also highly sustainable, should the need arise to recycle it at the end of its lifespan. Fox gray in color and now used as a shop, the building is crafted from high-end steel components and stands 30’x60’x18’ in size. Covering and protecting it from above is a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 3:12 pitch, and inside it are (2) framed openings. These include (1) 12’x14’ opening enclosing (1) 12’x14’ Model 2432 door, and (1) 3070 opening enclosing (1) 20-gauge 3070 walk door featuring R-9 insulation.

A wind speed rating of 90 mph and a very high snow load of 100 lbs. serve as additional project features. These inclusions were made with respect to the climate of Fairfield and the surrounding region, an area prone to long, sometimes bitterly cold winters and abundant seasonal snowfall. A part of Camas County near central Idaho, Fairfield is situated about 120 miles outside Nampa and about 70 miles from Twin Falls.

Three Steel Buildings in Pingree, Idaho

Metal Building Outlet supplied these (3) steel buildings to a customer in Pingree, Idaho, in early June of 2012.

The first building stands 20’x50’16 with a 3:12 roof pitch, the second, 16’x50’x10’ with a 2:12 roof pitch and the third, 16’x50’x10’ with a 2:12 roof pitch. All of the buildings feature parts by CO Building Systems.

Among them, the buildings have (9) framed openings, which include (1) 12’x14’ overhead door, (2) 12’x18’ overhead doors, (2) 3070 walk doors and (4) 3050 windows. In consideration of Idaho’s occasionally heavy snowfall and variable weather patterns, the buildings all have R-19 insulation in both their roofs and walls. They also have a wind speed of 90 mph and a ground snow load of 45 lbs.

Pingree, Idaho is an unincorporated community located within Bingham County, in Southeast Idaho. It lies about 22 miles from Aberdeen and about 40 miles outside Pocatello.
