Steel Agricultural Buildings in Durango, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied these (2) prefabricated steel agricultural buildings on behalf of a buyer in Durango, Colorado, in March of 2022.

Now serving agricultural purposes, the (2) insulated, energy-efficient metal farm buildings are comprised of rugged, quality steel parts, resulting in optimal strength and durability. The first and larger of the (2) metal buildings is 40’x60’x16’ in size and has a painted gable roof with a 3:12 pitch. The second, smaller building is 26’x60’x15.5’/11’2” and has a single-slope roof with a 2:12 roof pitch.

Between them, the (2) steel agricultural buildings feature (13) framed door and window openings in a variety of sizes. There are (2) 12’x12’ overhead door openings, (1) 2020 window opening, (2) 3040 window openings and (3) 3030 window openings. Also included are (2) 8040 window openings, (2) 3070 openings enclosing (2) 3070 20-gauge insulated commercial walk doors with lever locks and (1) 4070 opening holding (1) 4070 20-gauge insulated commercial walk door with a lever lock.

Insulation packages serve as additional features, with 6” of R-19 insulation in the roofs of the buildings and 4” of R-13 insulation in the walls. The insulation has heavy-duty WMP-VRR+ facing on the inward-facing sides, enhancing the interior appearances of the buildings while protecting the insulation blankets from moisture and damage.

Both agricultural buildings also have 40-psf roof snow loads and 115-mph wind speed ratings in compliance with local building codes.

Located in La Plata County in southwestern Colorado, Durango sits about 11.5 miles west of Hesperus and roughly 167 miles south of Grand Junction.
