The metal shop building is gray in color with complementing Charcoal trim and wainscot, the insulated, energy-efficient building, stands 60’x120’x18’ in size and is comprised of durable, fire-resistant steel parts. Overhead, a Gray gable roof with a slight 1:12 pitch provides protection from the Colorado elements, and (18) framed door and window openings are additional shop features.

Distributed throughout the space are (1) 20’x16’ door opening housing (1) 20’x16’ Model 2412 commercial insulated overhead door with an operator, (2) 12’x12’ openings enclosing (2) 12’x12’ Model 2412 commercial insulated overhead doors with operators and (1) 4070 walk door opening holding (1) 4070 commercial steel insulated walk door with a lever lock kit. Also included are (3) 3070 openings housing (3) 3070 commercial steel insulated walk doors with lever lock kits and (11) 6040 framed openings that will hold windows.

A high-performance insulation package keeps energy bills low and shop users comfortable throughout the year. The roof holds a high R-value, R-38 layer of insulation, while the walls contain R-19 insulation. A 90-mph wind speed rating and a 40-psf snow load are additional customizations made with the climate characteristics of the area and the building codes in place in Norwood in mind.
