Comprised of rugged, top-quality steel components, the structure boasts a solar building design, and it stands 40’x40’x20’ in size following an easy erection period. Light Stone in color, it offers considerable aesthetic appeal, and it features a rugged Galvalume metal roof with a 2:12 pitch overhead that helps protect against corrosion and the elements. Distributed throughout the steel solar building, enhancing accessibility, are (5) framed openings. Such features include (2) 14’x14’ openings, (2) 10’x14’ openings and (1) 3070 opening.

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Brownsville, Texas, in February of 2016.

Light stone in color with burnished slate trim, the building, now used as a shop, stands 50’x200’x18’ when fully erect. Overhead is a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 roof pitch, and inside the metal shop building are (12) framed openings; (8) 12’x16’ openings and (4) that enclose 3070 walk doors. Designed with energy efficiency in mind, the building boasts R-19 insulation in the roof and R-13 insulation in its walls. In addition to drastically slashing energy costs, the insulation serves as a sound barrier and enhances interior comfort year-round for building users.

Additional features include a high wind speed of 150 mph and a snow load of 20 lbs. These inclusions were made to enhance durability with respect to the climate and weather patterns common throughout the Brownsville area.

A part of Cameron County in southern Texas, the city of Brownsville lies 28 miles away from South Padre Island and about 27 miles from Harlingen.

Metal Building on the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten in February of 2015.

Now used as a medical clinic, the building is 25’x40’x11.5’ in size and is covered by a durable galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. Inside are a total of (4) framed openings, including (1) that houses a 20-gauge 3070 walk door, (1) 8’x8’ framed opening and (2) 3030 doors.

Due to St. Maarten’s island location in the Caribbean Sea, the steel building is engineered with a high wind speed of 170 mph.

Part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, St. Maarten occupies one-half of a Caribbean island, the other being St. Martin, an overseas collectivity of France. Known for its stunning scenery, crystal-clear waters and broad recreational opportunities, St. Maarten is a popular tourist and cruise ship destination.
