Prefabricated Steel Shop Building in St. Hedwig, Texas

Metal Building Outlet sourced this pre-engineered steel shop building for a client in St. Hedwig, Texas, in May 2024, working closely with the buyer to design a building that would meet his work and storage needs.

The shop has 3,000 square feet of versatile, column-free floorspace on the inside and another 600 square feet of unenclosed space on a connected porch, allowing for both indoor and outdoor storage while providing multiple environments for working or enjoying hobbies. Designed for year-round use in Texas, the building has 6” of R-19 insulation installed in the roof and another 4” of R-13 insulation installed in the walls. The insulation blankets in the roof and walls have heavy-duty WMP-VRR+ facing on the side facing inward, giving the interior a polished, finished appearance while helping protect the insulation blankets from moisture and damage.

Door openings in several sizes make the steel shop easy to access, and high ceilings allow for vertical storage or the use of tall equipment. Durable, long-lasting and resistant to damage resulting from moisture, pests, gusty winds and other hazards, this building is a reliable, affordable addition to the property the owner can use and enjoy for years to come.
