Steel Hangar Building in Saint George, Utah

Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered steel hangar building in Saint George, Utah, in April of 2022.

Functioning as an aircraft hangar, the low-maintenance, ultra-durable steel building is 60’x60’x20’ and protects planes and helicopters from extreme temperatures, the Utah elements, potential theft, and other hazards. It has high ceilings and a wide clear span, allowing it to accommodate planes and aircraft with a wide variety of wingspans. Comprised of durable, sustainable steel components, the insulated metal hangar has a heavy-duty Galvalume Plus gable roof with a 1:12 pitch offering protection overhead and (4) framed door openings providing access inside.

The hangar has (1) 52’65.”x16’ door opening that will house a hangar door, (2) walk door openings enclosing (2) 20-gauge steel walk doors with lever locks, and (1) 12’x14’ overhead door opening holding (1) 12’x14’ Series DCBI roll-coil door.

Installed in the roof and walls of the steel hangar is R-19 insulation with heavy-duty WMP-VRR+ facing, which helps protect the insulation blankets against condensation and damage. The hangar also features commercial-grade gutters and downspouts, which protect the building and everything it houses by diverting rain or snow away from the roof and foundation.

Engineered to adhere to the building codes in place in St. George, the metal hangar also has a 30-PSF roof snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.
