Recreational Steel Buildings in Paducah, Kentucky

Metal Building Outlet sourced these (2) prefabricated recreational steel buildings in Paducah, Kentucky, in early March of 2022.

In use as gyms, the durable, clear-span steel buildings feature open, column-free interiors that maximize space for athletics. The first steel gym, Gym A, stands 40’x60’x15’ when raised, while the second building, Gym B, is 12’x11’x10’ in size. Both feature cold-formed steel construction, which is lighter, more economical alternative to traditional steel construction.

Distributed between the (2) steel gyms are (4) framed door openings. These include (2) 12’x12’ door openings, (1) 3070 opening holding (1) 3070 insulated walk door with a cylindrical lever lock set, (1) 4070 opening enclosing (1) 4070 insulated walk door with a cylindrical lever lock set and a window. The doors also have panic hardware and closers.

The second steel gym building has open end walls, creating a breezeway, while the first and main metal gym has an insulation package keeping energy bills low and gym users comfortable. In the roof are 9.5” of a double-banded R-30 insulation system, while the walls of the main gym hold 6” of R-19 insulation.

Both steel gyms also feature wind speed ratings of 115 mph and ground snow loads of 15 psf in line with local building codes.
