Steel Building in Blackfoot, Idaho

Metal Building Outlet sourced this prefabricated steel building in Blackfoot, Idaho in April of 2021.

Now functioning as a shop, the insulated, highly energy-efficient steel building offers unmatched structural integrity and is 50’x60’x16’. It has a broad clear span that eliminates the need for interior obstructions, maximizing floor space, and it also has high ceilings, which enhance versatility.

The gable roof of the steel workshop is comprised of heavy-duty steel panels and has a 3:12 pitch, and the entire building sits atop a 24” foundation. There are (8) door and window openings throughout, among them (2) 12’x12’ overhead door openings, (1) 12’x14’ overhead door opening and (1) 3’x7’ walk door framed opening.

Also featured are (2) 4’x4’ window openings and (2) 6’x8’ framed openings for roll-up doors. A high-performance insulation system keeps energy bills low and shop users comfortable, regardless of the temperature outside. The roof contains an R-32 Energy Saver insulation system, while the walls contain an R-25 Energy Saver insulation system.

A 35-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are additional features that adhere to local building codes and enhance building durability.
