Shop Building Kit in Parker, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel shop building kit and its accompanying foundation plan for a customer in Parker, Colorado, in August of 2015.

Now used as a shop by SNR Contractors, a Parker-based contracting company, the metal building is crafted from premium-grade components from Garco Building Systems, and it boasts a finished size of 40’x100’x16’. Overhead is a durable, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 4:12 pitch, and the building also has (12) framed openings. These include (2) large 14’x14’ openings, (2) smaller 3’x7’ openings and (8) 3’x10 windows housing (8) 3’x10’ skylights.

The steel building is also designed with the variable temperatures and seasonal snowfall of the Parker area in mind, and as such, it houses R-13 insulation in the roof to help minimize energy costs. It also has a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs.

Located within central Colorado’s Douglas County, the town of Parker is situated about 57 miles outside Deer Trail and 25 miles from Kiowa.
