Metal Building Outlet was the proud provider of this pre-engineered metal building in Saint Marys, Kansas, in April of 2022.

Highly customized and heavily insulated, the steel building functions as a shop and is 50’x80’x18’ when raised. High ceilings and an unobstructed interior enhance the shop’s versatility, while a rugged, corrosion-resistant gable roof with a 2:12 pitch offers protection overhead.

The energy-efficient metal shop building has (5) framed door openings providing access inside, which include (2) 3’4”x7’2” openings housing (2) 3070 HD steel insulated walk doors with cylindrical lever lock sets and (3) 12’x14’ overhead door openings enclosing (3) 12’x14’ insulated overhead sectional doors with chain hoists.

In its roof, the steel shop has a 6” layer of R-19 insulation, while the walls hold 4” of R-13 insulation. The insulation blankets have heavy-duty VR-R Plus facing, which protects the insulation against condensation and damage. The building also features a 7.125’ interior liner panel, which gives the interior a clean, finished appearance.

Additional customizations and upgrades include gutters and downspouts, which help prevent condensation and water damage, and a 115-lb wind load and a 21-psf roof snow load, which comply with local building codes.
