Prefabricated Denver, Colorado Steel Shop With Insulation

Metal Building Outlet sent this pre-engineered metal shop building to a client in Denver, Colorado, in February 2025.

Designed with maximum energy efficiency in mind, this custom, climate-controlled steel building offers 5,600 square feet of open floor space idea for working on projects, servicing cars or machinery, or storing tools, equipment and other items. The entire building sits atop stem walls on all four sides, and it also features an effective Energy Saver insulation system, with White liner fabric covering an R-35 multi-layer fiberglass insulation system in the roof and another R-30, single-layer insulation system in the walls. Holding the roof and wall insulation in place are InsulHold coils, thermal tape, banding and screws.

On the outside, 4’ of PBR wainscoting boosts the building’s aesthetics, and sculptured gutters and downspouts keep rain or snow from collecting on top of the building and potentially seeping inside. A White interior liner panel also lines three of the building’s four walls, giving it a modern, finished look from the inside.

Also included with this building were six large windows that let natural light in to brighten up the space and Colorado engineer-stamped foundation plans to streamline the act of laying the foundation.
