Prefabricated Steel Personal Shop Building in Bayfield, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel personal shop building for a client in Bayfield, Colorado, sending the metal building components to the jobsite in January 2025.
Custom-designed to accommodate the client’s needs and wants and the sometimes-extreme climate characteristics of the region, the durable, multifunctional personal shop building boasts 1,620 square feet of open interior space ideal for storing goods, working on vehicles or projects, enjoying hobbies or otherwise using as desired.
An insulation package makes the metal shop well-suited for use during all four Colorado seasons, with 6” of R-19 fiberglass insulation lining the roof and another 4” of R-13 fiberglass insulation lining the walls. The roof and wall insulation have White VR-R facing applied the side of the blankets facing inward, which protects the insulation from condensation and tears while giving the inside of the shop a clean and complete look and feel.
On the outside, the personal shop building has 4’ of painted wainscoting along one end wall adding to its aesthetic appeal, and it also features a painted roof and walls and a modern, professional appearance. It also boasts a heavy snow load, as Bayfield is among the snowiest communities in Colorado.
