Prefabricated Steel Commercial Buildings in Cedar City, Utah

Metal Building Outlet sent the kits for this pair of pre-engineered steel commercial buildings to Cedar City, Utah, in May 2025.

Comprised of two smaller buildings fused together on one side, this project includes a large, single-slope metal commercial building and an attached steel lean-to, providing ample space for manufacturing, storing inventory and more. The buildings attach to one another through an open wall, allowing for seamless movement between the two structures, and have 2’ overhangs along all sides, which keep moisture from coming in regular contact with the exterior walls while creating additional space for outdoor storage.

An eave canopy attached to the lean-to’s rear end wall creates a dry, covered entryway, while an Energy Saver insulation system keeps interior temperatures comfortable and consistent. In the roof, the steel commercial building has a R-35 multi-layer Energy Saver insulation system, while the walls house an R-25 single-layer Energy Saver system. A Black liner panel lines the roof insulation, obstructing it from view, while a White liner panel covers the interior walls, giving the inside a clean, finished look.

In addition to the fiberglass insulation blankets, themselves, Sunward Steel also supplied the accessories needed to hold them in place, sending Insul-Hold coils, thermal tape, banding and screws. Additional building customizations include sculptured gutters and downspouts, which help preserve structural integrity by channeling rain and snow away from the commercial building and its foundation.
