Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated shop building in Durango, Colorado, in July of 2020.

Heavily insulated and engineered to last the long haul, the metal building is 25’x20’x16’/20.2” when erect and serves as a workshop. Comprised of rugged, quality steel parts, the metal shop building has a heavy-duty Galvalume roof with a 2:12 pitch offering protection from above. It also has (3) framed door openings allowing access inside, which include (1) 3070 opening housing (1) 3070 commercial walk door and (2) 10’x10’ openings that will house overhead doors.

The metal shop has several key customizations, including an expandable rear end wall that can accommodate a future 20’ bay. It also has a high-performance, double-banded R-35 insulation system installed in its roof and an R-25 Energy Saver insulation system installed within its walls, leading to lower energy bills and improved interior comfort.

Engineered with the heavy snowfall and variable climate conditions of southwestern Colorado in mind, the steel shop also has a high, 50-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.
