Pre-Engineered Steel Shop & Lean-To in Golden, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet sent the steel building kits for this pre-engineered steel shop building and attached steel lean-to to Golden, Colorado, in June 2024.

Sturdy, economical and customized to meet the buyer’s needs, the structures offer a combined 1,560 square feet of column-free interior space ideal for storage, work areas or a combination of both. On the outside, the buildings have a traditional barn aesthetic, with Ash Gray walls and Red trim and wainscoting giving them nice curb appeal.

An insulation package boosts energy efficiency while keeping the space usable and comfortable during all four Colorado seasons. The roofs of the metal shop and lean-to contain layers of R-18 fiberglass insulation, while the walls hold R-13 fiberglass insulation with VRR+ White vinyl facing. The facing serves double-duty as a protective cover and vapor barrier, and it also improves the look of the buildings on the inside, giving them a clean, finished appearance.
