Engineered for life in Idaho’s diverse climate, the metal building can accommodate strong winds and heavy snow loads and is comprised of rugged, sustainable steel parts. It arrived at the erection site in partially assembled pieces, shortening construction time and lowering related costs. Durable and built to last, it serves as a dry, year-round space the owner can utilize for any number of different needs.

Steel Shop Building Specifics

Standing 30’x70’x16’, the metal shop has a wide clear span that creates a column-free interior and high ceilings that provide additional space for storing equipment, supplies or inventory. Its roof has a 4.85:12 pitch, helping rain and snow slide off easily, and is comprised of heavy-duty Galvalume steel paneling.

The steel shop building is easy to access thanks to the addition of (4) framed door openings. There are (2) 12’x12’ overhead door openings housing (2) 12’x12’ Amarr Series 2412 insulated overhead doors with electric openers and (2) 3’x7’ walk door openings holding (2) 3070 insulated steel walk doors with lever locks.

There are also 4’x4’ windows throughout that let natural light inside, and the client added extra window trim to the windows to boost the building’s exterior appeal. Fabricated to meet or exceed building code requirements in place in the area, the metal shop has a high, 60-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.
