Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building in Espanola, New Mexico, in mid-November 2020.

Customized to meet the buyer’s needs and insulated to maximize energy-efficiency, the rigid-frame metal shop building has high ceilings and a clear span that create a spacious, column-free interior. Ideal for storing goods, servicing cars or using as a work or hobby space, the metal shop offers superior structural integrity thanks to high-quality steel construction and complies with or exceeds all applicable building code requirements.

Steel Shop Features & Upgrades

The attractive, climate-controlled steel shop building is 40’x60’x18’/14’ and has reliable overhead protection thanks to a rugged Galvalume single-slope roof with a modest 1:12 pitch. It has (2) door openings large enough to accommodate large equipment or cars and trucks, which include (1) 12’x14’ door opening containing (1) 12’x14’ Series 2432 insulated sectional door and (1) 10’x10’ door opening holding (1) 10’x10’ Series 2431 insulated sectional door. Both doors also feature manual chain hoists for easy access.

The shop building also has an insulation package, which leads to lower heating and cooling bills while helping muffle outside noise and prevent condensation. In the roof is a 6” layer of R-19 insulation, while a 4” layer of R-13 insulation lines the metal shop’s walls. Engineered to comply with the building codes in place in Espanola, the steel shop also has a 115-mph wind speed rating and a roof snow load of 30 psf.
