Steel Building in Owyhee, Nevada

Metal Building Outlet provided this prefabricated steel building in Owyhee, Nevada, in January of 2017.

Rugged, low maintenance and long-lasting, the building is constructed using high-end steel components. It boasts a finished size of 50’x70’x11’, and it now functions as a shop. Protecting the interior of the structure from above is a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 2:12 pitch, and inside, it features (13) framed openings varying in size and purpose. These include (2) 6070 openings, (1) 3070 opening, (6) 4030 openings and (4) 3030 openings.

Several additional accommodations were made during construction to enhance overall durability with respect for the highly variable climate of the Owyhee area and the ample seasonal snowfall often seen throughout the region. The building features a very high snow load of 71 lbs., and it also features a wind speed rating of 115 mph.

A census-designated place in northeastern Nevada’s Elko County, Owyhee is situated along the banks of the Owyhee River. It sits about 95 miles outside Elko and about 96 miles outside Mountain Home, Idaho.<
