Metal Building with Lean-to in Bloomington, California

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building with attached lean-to for a customer in Bloomington, California, in July of 2019.

Now functioning as a shop, the main building is comprised of rugged, sustainable steel parts and stands 50’x100’x17’ in size, while the attached, roof-only metal lean-to is 20’x100’x17’ when raised. Both structures have open, clear-span designs that maximize usable floor space. The main shop has a gable roof with a 1:12 pitch comprised of heavy-duty Galvalume sheeting overhead, while the lean-to has a single-slope roof with a .07:12 pitch offering protection from the elements.

The main metal shop building has (8) framed door openings, among them (6) 14’x14’ overhead door openings and (2) 3070 walk door openings housing (2) 3070 20-gauge insulated walk doors with lever locks. Additional upgrades include (4) 12”x10’ ridge vents with operator kits that enhance ventilation throughout the main building and (8) 3’x10’8” light-transmitting panels in the roof, which let natural sunlight inside. The main metal building also has a #4 collateral load limit, allowing it to accommodate heavy loads hung overhead.

Both metal buildings also have 110-mph wind speed ratings; inclusions made in consideration of the climate characteristics and building codes in place Bloomington.
