Metal Building in Beaufort, North Carolina

Metal Building Outlet delivered this pre-engineered metal building in Beaufort, North Carolina, in May of 2022.

Now used as a storage building by a Beaufort-based dock-building company, the insulated, energy-efficient metal building supplied for a repeat customer features top-quality steel construction and is 50’x160’x14’/20’ once raised. It has a wide clear span that makes the most of available storage space, and overhead, a Galvalume single-slope roof with a modest 1:12 pitch provides reliable protection from the North Carolina elements.

The steel storage building has (16) framed door openings offering access inside, which include (8) 3070 openings holding (8) 3070 wind-rated insulated 20-gauge walk doors with lever locks and (8) 12’x14’ overhead door openings enclosing (8) 12’x14’ Model 977 roll-coil doors with chain hoists. The metal storage building also features 3” of WMP-VRR+-faced insulation in its roof and walls, which keeps interior temperatures consistent while serving as an additional layer of protection against condensation.

The storage building also boasts gutters and downspouts along its roof’s lower side and several climate-related customizations, including a 7-psf roof snow load and a high, 140-mph wind rating added in consideration of the strong wind and occasional hurricane activity that comes through Beaufort.
