Insulated Steel Shop in Cortez, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building for a client who heard about the company through another customer in his area. The buyer planned to erect the building himself following the arrival of the building kit at his Cortez, Colorado job site.

Delivered in July 2023, the Tan building with a Blue roof and a combination of Blue and Brown trim has a clear span, resulting in an open, versatile floorplan. It has 6” of R-19 VRR+-faced insulation in its roof and another 4” of R-13 faced insulation in the walls, with the insulation keeping the inside comfortable and energy bills low and the facing keeping the insulation dry and protected against damage.

The steel building has (4) 4030 windows that help brighten up the inside, and doors in several sizes boost the shop’s functionality. Commercial-grade gutters and downspouts on the roof help prevent rain or snow from pooling on top of the roof or collecting near the metal building’s foundation.
