Insulated Prefabricated Steel Shop Building in Sparks, Nevada
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal shop building for a client in Sparks, Nevada, in June of 2025.
Custom-designed and climate-controlled, the metal shop spans 3,680 square feet and has an attached, roof-only 24’x20’ gable building affixed to its left end wall. The smaller, attached structure has a 4’ rake extension, creating covered outdoor storage space, and it also features a full roof liner panel, giving it a clean, finished look from the inside.
A high R-value Energy Saver insulation system ensures year-round comfort for shop users, and it also leads to other benefits, including better noise control and protection against moisture and condensation. A multi-layer, R-32 insulation system with a White liner panel lines the shop’s roof, while an R-25 single-layer fiberglass insulation system lines the walls. Metal Building Outlet also sent thermal tape, InsulHold coils, steel banding and screws along with the insulation blankets to hold the systems together.
The steel shop also offers curb appeal on the outside, with Old Town Gray walls and Burnished Slate trim and wainscoting giving it a modern, professional appearance. Spacious, low maintenance and easy to erect, this building is a prime example of the beauty, versatility and superior functionality of steel construction.
