Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel garage building kit in Dodge City, Kansas, in June 2022.

The 50’x70’x16’/18.1’ rigid-frame metal garage is customized inside and out in line with the owner’s needs and preferences. It has 4’ of wainscoting, boosting exterior appeal. It also has a gray primer on its rigid frames, a parapet wall on the high sidewall, and parapet trim along the end walls and high sidewall.

Insulated and climate-controlled, the metal body shop features reverse-run wall panels throughout. Its roof has UL 90-rated Galvalume panels and a slight 0.5:12 pitch, and (9) framed door and window openings are additional customizations. The steel garage has:

• (3) 10’x10’ openings for storefront doors
• (3) 10’x14’ overhead door openings
• (2) 4’x4’ window openings
• (1) walk door opening housing (1) 3070 pre-assembled walk door with a lever lock

The roof of the auto shop contains a high R-value R-30 Energy Saver insulation system. The walls hold 4” of WMP-VRR-faced insulation, with the roof and wall insulation helping maximize energy savings while keeping the garage comfortable and well-suited for all-season use.

Gutters and downspouts along the roof help prevent condensation and keep the metal garage watertight, while a 115-mph wind speed rating and 15-psf roof snow load are additional customizations.
