Industrial Metal Building in Colorado

Metal Building Outlet sourced this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Colorado in early November of 2019.

Currently in use as a fabrication shop, the building delivers unmatched strength and durability, resulting in reliable protection for both the people who use it and the goods stored inside. Once erect, the building stands an expansive 60’x100’x24’ in size, and it features a broad clear span that eliminates interior columns or supports.

The shop’s high overhead clearance makes it well-suited for storage and manufacturing, and a robust, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a subtle 1:12 pitch protects the interior of the workshop from above. Noteworthy features include (6) framed openings, among them (5) 12’x14’ overhead door openings and (1) 3’x7’ walk door opening, and several other enhancements that better-prepare the shop for life in Colorado while keeping it compliant with applicable building codes and regulations.

A high, 43-pound snow load serves as one such feature, while a 130-mph wind speed rating is another. Located in the western United States, Colorado is prone to variable temperatures and weather patterns, making metal construction particularly ideal for this environment. Neighboring states include Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Metal Building in Inglis, Florida

Metal Building Outlet was the supplier of this pre-engineered metal building in Inglis, Florida, in November of 2019.

In use as a shop, the energy-efficient, wind-resistant metal building is 40’x60’x16’ once raised and features a clear-span design that eliminates interior obstructions. Its hardy, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof has a 2:12 pitch and a layer of R-19 insulation installed inside, while the walls of the shop contain R-13 insulation. While the insulation helps keep energy bills low, it also makes for a more comfortable working environment, and particularly during Florida’s long, hot and often-humid summers.

In adherence to strict local building codes in place because of the building’s location in a high-risk hurricane zone, a 150-mph wind speed rating serves as another noteworthy shop feature. Located in Florida’s Levy County, the town of Inglis sits roughly 90 miles north of Tampa and roughly 40 miles outside Ocala.
