Metal Building Outlet sourced this prefabricated metal building in Bessemer, Alabama, in mid-March of 2022.

Insulated, energy efficient and engineered to last, the building now functions as a shop and is 60’x120’x18’ when raised. It has high ceilings and an open, column-free interior, and overhead, it boasts a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof.

The metal shop building has (5) framed door openings offering access inside, which include (2) 3’x7’ framed door openings enclosing (2) 3070 walk doors and (3) 14’x14’ framed door openings holding (3) 14’x14’ Red roll-up canister doors with motors. An insulation package keeps the interior of the building comfortable and its heating and cooling bills low. In the roof is a 6” layer of R-19 insulation, while the walls contain 3.25” of R-10 insulation. All insulation blankets have facing, which serves as a protective cover, helping guard against condensation.

Other notable accommodations include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 5-psf snow load; additions made in compliance with local building and engineering code requirements.
