Pre-Engineered Steel Industrial Building Complex in Castle Rock, Colorado
The owner of a Castle Rock, Colorado agricultural services and land-management company ordered these four climate-controlled steel agricultural buildings in early December of 2024, with all four structures fused together to create one large, energy-efficient compound.
In addition to the large, main metal building, which offers 45,000 square feet of usable space, this order also included a second building that functions as a working dog area, a third metal lean-to that remains open on one end, and a fourth building that serves as a formal gable entry area. The large, main building has 2’ overhangs on all sides that protect the outside walls and add architectural appeal to the project, while the entry building features 4’ overhangs, creating versatile covered outdoor space.
All walls and framing sit on top of a 12” concrete stem wall, and all exterior walls feature 4’ of metal panel wainscoting, giving the business a modern, attractive look. Distributed among the four fused-together structures are (37) windows that let natural sunlight in, and gutters and downspouts dot the roofline, keeping rain or snow from collecting on top of top or making its way inside.
Designed for heavy, year-round industrial use, the building boasts a high R-value, R-45 Energy Saver Insulation system in the roof and R-30 insulation blankets in the walls. A White liner panel lines the fiberglass blankets, offering protection from damage while improving the look of the building from the inside. Metal Building Outlet also delivered thermal break tape, InsulHold coils, thermal tape, banding and screws to hold the insulation systems in place.
Great for housing valuable equipment and conducting business operations, this prefabricated steel industrial complex serves as a functional, reliable space that can easily accommodate the agricultural and land-management business’s day-to-day needs.
