50x80x20 Metal Building in Houston, Texas

Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered 50x80x20 metal building for a customer in Houston, Texas, in November of 2020. It is now undergoing use as a shop building.

The long-lasting, highly customized steel building boasts high ceilings and an unobstructed clear span design. Comprised of rugged, commercial grade red iron steel, the building offers unmatched structural integrity, and overhead, it features a heavy-duty 26-gauge gable roof. 

There are (5) door and window openings that allow building users and natural light inside the steel building. The shop also features gutters and downspouts, which help prevent condensation and moisture-related damage. 

The owner wanted a number of upgrades for this building, including an upgraded architectural trim package that enhances the building’s aesthetic appeal and long-life, color-coded fasteners and washers for the roof and wall screws. The building also features a recommended wind speed rating and a 3.5-psf roof snow load in consideration of the climate of the Houston area and in compliance with local building codes.

Located near Galveston Bay in southeastern Texas, the city of Houston is the state’s sixth-most-populated. It is part of the greater Houston area, alongside Sugar Land and The Woodlands.
