Steel Building in Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Metal Building Outlet secured this premanufactured steel recreational building in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, in January, 2020.

Used for recreational purposes on the campus of a sports health care operation, the steel building provides a safe, all-season space for patients and practitioners to work together to improve patient health. Offering unparalleled durability, the steel recreational building is an expansive 100’x225’x24’ once erect, offering ample usable interior space and high overhead clearance that allows for a wide range of activities.

The roof of the building, which is comprised of robust Galvalume metal paneling and has a slight 1:12 pitch, helps guard against corrosion and protect against the Canadian elements. Other key features include (2) framed openings; (1) 6070 walk door opening and (1) 12’x14’ overhead door opening.

An insulation package helps the recreational building maintain consistent and comfortable temperatures, which is essential for year-round use in Canada. Both the roof and walls of the building contain high R-value, R-20 fiberglass insulation. Other climate- and geography-related customizations include a .47 kPa wind speed and a 1.04 kPa snow load.

Located in southwestern Ontario, Canada, the city of Windsor sits across the Detroit River from Detroit, Michigan. It sits about 191 kilometers outside London, Ontario, roughly 20 kilometers east of Dearborn, Michigan.
