Steel Building in Walton, New York

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a customer in Walton, New York, in May of 2014.

Constructed from Nucor Building Systems components, the sagebrush tan building now serves as a shop. Standing 40’x60’16’, the metal building boasts a burnished slate-colored roof with a 5:12 roof pitch, and a total of (3) framed openings, including (2) 12’x14’ overhead doors and (1) 3070 walk door.

With Walton’s location in the foothills of the Catskills Mountains and the town’s propensity for precipitation in mind, the building was constructed with a wind speed of 90 mph, and a ground snow load of 50 lbs.

The Town of Walton is located in Delaware County in south-central New York, along the West Branch of the Delaware River. It lies about 48 miles from Cooperstown and about 55 miles outside Binghamton.
