Metal Building in Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina

This Garco-brand steel building was supplied by Metal Building Outlet to Commercial Steel Builders in Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina.

The metal building measured 30’x60’x12’ and had a roof pitch of 1:12.  The shop had a number of framed openings including two 3’x7’ walkdoors and a 12’x10’.  Typical climate conditions on Wadmalaw Island were taken into account.  The shop had R-13 roof insulation and R-10 wall insulation installed to lower cooling and heating costs.  In addition to being energy efficient, the shop was rated to withstand a wind load of 130 mph and a snow load of 5 psf.

Wadmalaw Island is located in Charleston County.  The island is about 19 miles off the coast of Charleston and 23 miles off the coast of North Charleston.
