Metal Building in Waverly, Alabama

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Waverly, Alabama in early December of 2014.

Now an operational shop, the metal building stands 50’x75’x20’, and is crafted from Nucor Building Systems components and topped by a Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. It features (4) framed openings, which include (3) that are 14’x16’ in size and (1) walk door for easy user access.

Waverly experiences considerable rainfall throughout the year, with an average of 55 inches falling annually. With this and the typical climate patterns of the region in consideration, the steel building was constructed with a wind speed of 100 mph and a snow load of 3.5 lbs.

A small town located within both Chambers and Lee Counties in east-central Alabama, Waverly sits about 97.5 miles outside the City of Birmingham and 66.5 miles from the City of Montgomery.

Steel Workshop in Haleyville, Alabama

Metal Building Outlet was pleased to supply this prefabricated steel workshop building for a customer in Haleyville, Alabama, in early April of 2019.

Built to last and insulated to ensure comfort and energy efficiency, the building features premium-quality steel construction, and it now functions as a workshop. Following a relatively quick and easy erection process, the shop stands 40’x80’x16’ in size, while a durable, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof sits overhead, offering a 1:12 roof pitch.

Inside that roof is a layer of R-19 fiberglass insulation, while R-13 insulation lies within the workshop’s walls. Additional metal building features include (2) framed openings; (1) 12’x14’ opening enclosing (1) 12’x14’ overhead door and (1) 3070 walk door opening enclosing (1) 3070 door, and a 115-mph wind speed rating, an accommodation made in compliance with local building code requirements.

The northwestern Alabama city of Haleyville sits primarily within Winston County, although a small portion of it extends into Marion County. It sits about 82 miles northwest of Birmingham and about 53 miles outside Decatur.

Steel Building in Birmingham, Alabama

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Birmingham, Alabama. This building was designed for use as a wedding venue for The Carriage House at Park Crest Event Center.

Metal Building in Odenville, Alabama

Metal Building Outlet supplied these two metal buildings to a customer in Odenville, Alabama, in June of 2014. Sized 40’x60’x14’, these Steelmax-brand buildings together serve as a workshop. The buildings boast a total of (8) framed openings, including (4) 10’x12’ overhead doors and an additional (4) 3070 Lever Lock doors, and each has a Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch.

To ensure that those using the buildings stay comfortable regardless of seasonal or climate conditions, the two buildings were constructed with R-13 roof insulation in both the roof and walls. Additionally, both buildings have a wind speed of 90 mph and a ground snow load (GSL) of 5 lbs.

Odenville is a small, 3.2 square mile town of under 1,500 inhabitants located in St. Clair County, in north-central Alabama. It lies about 30 miles from Birmingham, the state’s largest city, and 86 miles outside Tuscaloosa.

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Birmingham, Alabama. This SteelMax building was purchased in June, 2013 and is used as an automotive shop for a Jefferson County trucking company. The building is attached to an existing office.

The completed dimensions for this building are: 60’x80’x16’.  The exterior walls on the metal shop are an attractive light stone color.  The 1:12 pitched roof is galvalume. Due to the location of the building (central Alabama), about 25 miles from Alabaster and Warrior, the wind load upgrades allow this building to stand up to Mother Nature – wind load of 90 MPH and a low snow load of 3.5 PSF.

Steel Building in Hueytown, Alabama

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Hueytown, Alabama, for a general contractor in Jefferson County. Located about 50 miles from Tuscaloosa and about 20 miles from Hoover, this Steel Max building is rated to handle the high wind load and low snow loads of northern Alabama.

The owner of the building has erected several steel buildings and decided to erect this building himself.  Metal Building Outlet was able to help him get his building in the time frame he needed by putting the order in a rush status and changing the supplying factory from which the steel building components were shipped.

Used to store construction equipment, this building is a frame and roof only structure with finished dimensions of 40’x128’x10’.  It has a wind load of 90 MPH and snow loads for ground and roof of 10 PSF and 7 PSF.

Metal Building in Irondale, Alabama

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Irondale, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. Located in northern Alabama, this Jefferson County building is only about 5 miles from Birmingham and about 10 miles from Leeds.

This Nucor metal building is used as a lean-to and is attached to an existing building with one open side and a galvalume single slope roof (1:12 pitch). The roof has a height of 16’ on the lower side and 20’2” where it attaches to the existing building.

Since the climate in Irondale means that there is little or no snow, this building has a very low snow load with the ground snow load being 5 PSF and the roof having a snow load of 3.5 PSF. Wind load for this building is rated to 90 MPH for the blustery climate, prone to storms and in a hurricane risk area.

In addition to the open back side of the building, there are two doors. There is a 3’x7’ walk door and a 14’x14’ door. The completed size of this metal lean-to is: 50’x200’x16’.
