Metal Building Outlet secured this prefabricated steel shop building for a customer in Lake George, Colorado, in late April of 2019.

Versatile, attractive and easy to maintain, the building is comprised of heavy-duty, premium-quality steel components, and it now functions as a shop. Once raised, it boasts a finished size of 44’x24’x12’, and it features a clear-span interior that frees up more space to work by eliminating interior trusses and obstructions.

The steel shop features a striking, Copper-colored exterior and a complementing Evergreen-colored roof with a 4:12 pitch, while (4) framed openings serve as additional shop customizations. Included are (3) 8’x10’ openings enclosing (3) 8’x10’ doors and (1) 3070 walk door opening. Because the Lake George area often sees considerable seasonal snowfall, there are stringent building codes governing construction in the area, and the shop features a 115-mph wind speed rating and a high, 120-pound snow load in order to accommodate them.

Situated a few miles north of the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, the unincorporated community of Lake George falls within Colorado’s Park County. The community lies roughly 40 miles northwest of Colorado Springs and about 13 miles from Divide.

Offering the strength, durability and energy efficiency Utah construction demands, the building stands 40’x60’x16’ in size and now functions as a shop. It features an open clear span, which maximizes usable floor space, while its high clearance enhances its overall functionality and versatility.

The metal shop’s roof is comprised of long-lasting Galvalume panels and has a 3:12 roof pitch, and within that roof is R-19 fiberglass insulation, which helps prevent heated or cooled air from escaping the space. The walls of the building, meanwhile, have R-13 insulation installed within them, further enhancing the property’s energy efficiency.

The steel workshop also boasts a 115-mph wind speed rating and a high, 43-pound snow load in compliance with local building code requirements, while (4) framed openings serve as additional features. Included are (2) 14’x14’ openings and (2) 3’x7’ openings. A small, sparsely populated northeastern Utah community, Neola is a part of Duchesne County. Now used for automotive purposes, the building stands 50’x63’x18’ in size and features an open, clear-span design that provides plenty of obstruction-free room for storing or servicing vehicles. The metal automotive building’s high ceilings can easily accommodate lifts, while its rugged steel construction protects cars and trucks from harsh weather, strong winds, intense sunshine and other potential automotive hazards.

Polar White in color, the building requires very little in terms of lifetime maintenance, and a corrosion- and damage-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch sits overhead, creating a reliable layer of protection from the elements. Additional automotive building features include R-10 insulation within the walls and (3) framed openings, among them (2) 18’x6’ openings and (1) 3’4”x7’2” opening.

Additional features added in adherence to local building code requirements include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 20-pound snow load. Located in north-central Missouri, the city of Blackburn has land in Lafayette and Saline counties. Comprised of reliable, sustainable steel components, the shop offers unparalleled strength and durability, and a heavy-duty roof comprised of Galvalume metal panels sits overhead, boasting a 1:12 roof pitch.

Distributed throughout the metal workshop are (13) framed openings varying in terms of size and purpose, among them (4) 16’x16’ openings, (1) 12’x14’ overhead opening enclosing (1) 12’x14’ overhead door, (5) 6’x4’ openings and (3) 3070 walk door openings housing (3) 3070 walk doors.
