Steel Shop Building in Rowlett, Texas

Metal Building Outlet secured this pre-engineered steel shop building on behalf of a client in Rowlett, Texas, in late March of 2019.

Energy efficient, versatile and exceedingly durable, the building is comprised of premium-grade steel components, and it stands 90’x160’x18’ in size. Now in use as a shop, the steel building features high ceilings that enhance functionality, while a hardwearing Galvalume Plus roof with a 1:12 pitch provides a solid layer of protection from above.

Installed in the roof is R-19 fiberglass insulation, while the walls of the shop contain R-10 insulation. In addition to making the building better-suited for all-season use, the insulation helps keep energy bills associated with it low while minimizing any outside noise.

Additional steel shop features include a 5-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating. Part of the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex, Rowlett has land in both Dallas and Rockwall counties. The community lies about 15 miles southeast of Plano and about 5 miles east of Garland.
