The owner of an electric utility company in Dighton, Kansas, purchased this prefabricated steel building kit from Metal Building Outlet in early May of 2023.

The clear-span metal shop building has an open interior and high ceilings, offering plenty of space for storing vehicles, electrical supplies and other business assets. Durable and damage-resistant, the metal shop is also climate-controlled, featuring 6” of R-19 insulation in its roof and 4” of vinyl-faced insulation in its walls. The insulation package keeps the interior comfortable for employees year-round, and it also helps prevent condensation while lowering the business’s energy expenses.

Both of the building’s side walls feature gutters and downspouts, which help with drainage and prevent standing water on the roof. The metal building also complies with applicable building codes, which the buyer verified ahead of time with the local building department.
