Prefab. Steel School Building in Ellensburg, Washington

Metal Building Outlet sent this pre-engineered steel building to the campus of a Christian school in Ellensburg, Washington, that serves grades one through 12.

Supplied in May of 2023 and used for a variety of different purposes, the custom steel school building has an open, clear span floorplan and (7) 4030 windows throughout, allowing plenty of natural light inside. Insulated and highly energy-efficient, the metal school building features a high R-value, R-40 insulation system in its roof and another R-25 insulation system in its walls.

The insulation keeps the inside of the school building comfortable for students, regardless of outside temperatures, and it also leads to lower heating and cooling bills for the school district. Other noteworthy customizations include a fully loaded, expandable rigid frame along the building’s left end wall and gutters and downspouts along the roof, which help prevent the region’s frequent rainfall from collecting on top of the building.

Metal Building Outlet also supplied an engineered foundation design with the building kit to maximize stability and prolong its lifespan.
