Pre-Engineered Steel Farm Building in West Point, Illinois

Metal Building Outlet supplied the kit for this custom metal farm building for a client in West Point, Illinois, in mid-July 2023.

The clear-span steel farm building features upgrades throughout including galvanized girts and purlins, a 5’ front overhang and a 2’6” back overhang that create usable covered outdoor space. The buyer also wanted an upgraded wind load, extra sheeting along the structure’s back wall and an expandable end wall along its left side.

The Ash Gray farm building with Steel Gray trim required custom engineering to allow for various level-cut I beam columns, and it also had to meet local building code requirements, which the owner verified before signing off on the farm building’s final design. Durable, low-maintenance and fast and easy to raise, the building arrived onsite in partially assembled pieces, leading to a quick and seamless erection process.
