The owner of a Kansas construction company wanted to erect a new commercial building in Burlington and ordered the kit for this prefabricated steel commercial building from Metal Building Outlet in August 2024.

Designed to house supplies, construction equipment, building materials and other inventory for the company specializing in dirt excavating, demolition, building pads, ponds, terraces and waterways, the building boasts 30,000 square feet of flexible, climate controlled interior space. Fiberglass insulation with VRR+ facing within the roof and walls keep energy bills low and interior temperatures comfortable, with the roof featuring an R-32 Energy Saver insulation system and the walls containing 4” of R-13 fiberglass insulation.

Durable and built to last, the commercial building easily accommodates heavy traffic and usage, and a 3-pound collateral load allows heavy items, like fans, HVAC systems or sprinklers to hang down from overhead. Gutters and downspouts along both side walls protect the outside walls from moisture and condensation while keeping rain or snow from collecting on the rooftop, and 12 large windows allow natural sunlight to stream inside.
