Steel Building with Lean-to in Fort Morgan, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet was the proud provider of this prefabricated steel building with attached lean-to in Fort Morgan, Colorado, in January of 2022.

Comprised of durable, sustainable steel parts, the Light Stone-colored structures with Burnished Slate trim now serve as shops, with the main metal building standing 60’x120’x18’ in size and the steel lean-to standing 30’x24’x18’/13’ when raised. Both have broad clear spans, resulting in column-free interiors, and both have Burnished Slate steel roofs with 2:12 pitches overhead, although the main building has a gable roof and the lean-to, a single-slope roof.

Insulated and climate-controlled, the main shop building has 6” of R-19 roof insulation and 4” of R-13 wall insulation lowering heating and cooling bills and creating a more comfortable environment. The insulation has heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing serving as a protective cover over it.

Other notable customizations include 4’ of wainscoting surrounding the buildings, enhancing their curb appeal, and (6) framed door openings. Included are (3) 24’x16’ overhead door openings, (1) 20’x16’ overhead door opening and (3) 3070 openings enclosing (3) 3070 insulated commercial walk doors with lever locks.

The metal shop and lean-to also feature 115-mph wind speed ratings and 21-psf roof snow loads in accordance with local building codes.
