Commercial Steel Building in Rico, Colorado

Retail Furniture Store

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered commercial steel building in Rico, Colorado, in April of 2015.

Attractive, spacious and versatile, the metal building now functions as the Rustic Aspen Furniture store and has ample curb appeal thanks to a Saddle Tan exterior, Rustic Red architectural trim and 4’ of stone wainscoting. Durable and low-maintenance, the furniture store has a clear span that creates an open, column-free interior and maximizes space for furniture and staging.

Engineered for the variable climate characteristics of southwestern Colorado, this steel commercial building complies with all local building codes and stands strong in the face of heavy snowfall, extreme temperatures and other hazards associated with life in the region.

Retail Furniture Store Specs & Features

The components used to create this steel retail building arrived in partially assembled pieces at the business address, speeding up the construction process. When raised, the metal retail building stands 34’x90’x12’ in size, and overhead, a heavy-duty steel gable roof with a 4:12 pitch offers reliable protection from the Colorado elements.

The metal retail building has 2’ overhangs along both ends walls, creating additional covered space surrounding the furniture store, and it also has (13) framed door and window openings throughout. Included are (6) 3030 window openings, (2) 5030 window openings and (1) 16’x10’ overhead door opening. Also included are (2) 3070 and (2) 4070 framed door openings that allow workers and customers inside.

Additional retail building customizations include a 90-mph wind rating and an upgraded, 120-mph roof snow load.

Economical, Customizable Metal Commercial Buildings

Often selected for use as retail stores, automotive showrooms, grocery stores and similar commercial businesses, prefabricated metal buildings are easy to configure when it comes to size, appearance, doors and windows, insulation, and many other areas. More economical and resistant to fire and damage than wood structures, pre-engineered metal retail buildings create safe, secure places for businesses to operate and customers to shop.
