Steel Agricultural Building in Sparks, Nevada

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel agricultural building for a customer in Sparks, Nevada, in mid-December, 2016.

Attractive, efficient and low maintenance, the building is charcoal grey in color and now serves as a barn. It is crafted from top-of-the-line steel components, and it stands 40’x70’x12’ in size when fully erect. Overhead, protecting the interior of the barn from the elements, is a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with 1: 12 roof pitch.

Inside the pre-engineered metal barn are (2) framed openings. These include (1) 8’x10’ opening adorned with (1) 8’x10’ roll-coil door and (1) 3070 opening, equipped with (1) 3070 commercial walk door. The building also boasts a wind speed rating of 130 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs. in consideration of the climate and weather patterns characteristic of the Sparks area and the light snow that sometimes accumulates during the winter months. Located just east of Reno in northwestern Nevada’s Washoe County, Sparks is situated about 38 miles outside Lake Tahoe and about four miles outside Reno.
