Prefabricated Steel Personal Shop in Casper, Wyoming

Metal Building Outlet supplied the building kit for this pre-engineered personal shop building for a client in Casper, Wyoming, in April 2025.

Durable, versatile and highly energy efficient, the metal shop building boasts 4,000 square feet of open interior space ideal for storing goods or vehicles, completing tasks and projects, or serving any number of other needs. Engineered for Wyoming’s windy, sometimes unpredictable climate, the building offers optimal strength and durability, with fiberglass insulation blankets in the roof and walls keeping interior temperatures comfortable and well-suited for use during all four seasons.

The roof features a single-layer, 6”, R-19 fiberglass insulation system, while the walls hold 4” of R-13 insulation. The insulation blankets have heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing on the parts facing inward, which acts as a protective cover over the blankets while boosting the aesthetics of the shop from the inside.

Other building customizations include sculptured gutters and downspouts that preserve structural integrity by diverting rain and snow away from the roof, foundation and outside walls, and eight spacious windows that let natural light and warmth inside.
