Prefabricated Steel Agricultural Building & Bathroom in Bloomfield, New Mexico

Metal Building Outlet sent the pre-engineered metal building kits for these two steel buildings to a high school in Bloomfield, New Mexico, in April 2025, with one set to function as an agricultural building and the other, a bathroom.

Attractive, economical and versatile, the metal school buildings feature rugged, reliable steel construction that makes them ideal for erection in virtually any climate. Built to stand strong against harsh weather, fire, pests and more, the buildings both feature insulation packages that keep them comfortable for use year-round while providing an additional layer of noise control and protection against condensation.

The metal farm building, which is well-suited for housing student-raised animals or tractors, mowers and other equipment used in school maintenance efforts, offers 3,600 square feet of open interior space and features fiberglass insulation in its roof and walls. The roof holds 6” of R-19 insulation with White VR-R facing applied to the side facing inward, while the walls hold another 4” of R-13 fiberglass insulation, which also includes VR-R facing material.

The second, smaller structure, a steel bathroom, adds another 420 square feet of space to the school’s infrastructure and has 6” of R-19 fiberglass insulation in both the roof and walls. Both the steel agricultural building and the metal bathroom feature wind and snow loads that align with local building codes, enhancing durability and safety for students and educators.

Fast to raise and easy to maintain, these two prefabricated metal school buildings are a versatile, valuable addition to the property that will meet the school district’s needs for years to come.
