A resident of Del Norte, Colorado, purchased this steel garage through Metal Building Outlet in early March of 2023.

Designed for personal use, the insulated, energy-efficient garage has a clear span and high ceilings that maximize space for vehicle storage. Great for protecting cars, trucks and toys from the elements and helping them maintain their resale value, the garage also saves the owner time by keeping him from having to shovel snow off his car during the wintertime.

Customized throughout to meet the owner’s needs and wishes, the steel garage has 18” overhangs on all four sides, which provide protection for the building’s exterior walls. There are also 3’ of wainscoting on all sides of the metal garage that boost its street appeal.

The building owner also chose to insulate it at the time of erection, which tends to be faster and easier than doing it later on. Metal Building Outlet delivered 6” of R-19 insulation for installation into the roof and 4.25” of R-13 insulation for installation into the walls. Both the roof and wall insulation have PSP VRR+ facing on the side facing inward, which helps protect the blankets from moisture and damage while giving the inside of the garage a finished, polished appearance.
