Metal Building Outlet sent the building kit for this prefabricated steel commercial storage building to Ventura, California, in early September of 2024.
Designed to keep temperature-sensitive products at consistently cold temperatures, this metal cold storage building boasts 4,968 square feet of interior floor space plus high 17’ ceilings that create additional room for vertical storage. Ideal for housing fresh produce, frozen foods, meat, seafood, dairy products or drinks, this building has multiple points of entry that make it easy to access inventory, keeping day-to-day operations on time and on track.
A 10-psf collateral load can support electrical elements, HVAC systems, suspended lighting or other building customizations, and one of the building’s bays remains partially open with partition walls on three sides. Numerous doors in several sizes and styles allow for easy access to, and retrieval of, products housed inside, which streamlines work flow and keeps operations moving smoothly.
The package also included a California engineer-stamped foundation plan designed as a slab-on-grade spread footing system based on site-specific geotechnical data supplied by the client.
