Pre-Engineered Steel Personal Shop Building in Ignacio, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet was the proud provider of this prefabricated metal personal shop building, sending the building components to Ignacio, Colorado, in February 2025.
Spacious, versatile and energy efficient, the building spans 1,600 square feet and provides plenty of space for storing items, completing tasks, enjoying hobbies or otherwise using as desired. Multiple window openings, including several in the shop’s large garage door, allow natural light to brighten up the interior, improving ambiance while reducing the building owner’s reliance on artificial heat during colder months.
Designed with maximum energy efficiency in mind, the building features an insulation package in its roof and walls. The roof holds a double-layer, R-30 banded insulation system, while the walls hold 4” of R-13 fiberglass insulation. The insulation blankets have VRR+ facing applied to the side facing inward, helping protect the insulation blankets while improving the look and feel of the shop building from the inside.
Rugged, thoughtfully designed and engineered for the precise climate characteristics of southwestern Colorado, this pre-engineered steel shop building gives the owner a safe place to work, store goods or recreate year-round while providing reliable protection from the Colorado elements.
