Commercial Steel Building in Minden, Nevada

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered commercial steel building for a customer in Minden, Nevada, in early January of 2016.

Boasting attractive tan paint and a burnished slate-colored roof with a 1:12 pitch, the building is crafted from premium-quality steel components, and it stands 60’x80’x14’ in size. It is now used as an office building for WestTec Construction, a power, energy and heavy industrial contractor. The building features a total of (13) framed openings varying in size and purpose; among them (11) 6030 windows, (1) 3070 steel walk door and (1) 6070 storefront door with 1” insulated tempered glass.

Designed with extreme energy efficiency in mind, the building features high-performance R-29 metal building insulation in its roof and R-19 building insulation within its walls. It also features a wind speed of 130 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs.

Located just east of Lake Tahoe in Nevada’s Carson Valley, Minden is a part of Douglas County. It is situated about 30 miles outside Virginia City and about 15 miles from Carson City.
