Prefab Metal Shop Building in Edgemont, South Dakota
Metal Building Outlet secured this prefabricated steel shop building for a customer in Edgemont, South Dakota, in January 2023.
Designed for South Dakota’s cold, wet winters, the durable, corrosion-resistant steel building has fiberglass insulation lining its roof and walls, insulated overhead doors, and high snow loads. Fern Green in color with a Steel Gray roof and trim, the shop has a wide clear span and high ceilings that maximize usable interior space. Overhead, it has a hardy Galvalume roof with gutters and downspouts that keep rain or snow from piling up on top.
Installed in the shop’s roof and walls are 6” of R-19 insulation with WMP-VRR+ facing on the side facing inward. The facing helps protect the insulation from moisture, while the insulation blankets keep inside temperatures comfortable while reducing the owner’s heating and cooling bills.
